His art draws inspiration from the masters of the field, such as Monet, Degas, and Renoir, who sought to express emotion and the effects of light and atmosphere in their art. Michael has studied painting with noted artist Andrew Sanders, and also studied art at the college level. Most of his paintings depict the varied landscape near his home in northwestern Pennsylvania, although they have a universal appeal to lovers of impressionist art. Thanks, Deyanira. I don't do a lot of winter scenes, but the color of the sky reflected in the shadows on snow always catches my eye. Sunny days in the winter are rare in this part of the country, so I appreciate their beauty.
