About Michael Camp
E. Michael Camp is an artist who works in the general field of "impressionism." His art draws inspiration from the masters of the field, such as Monet, Degas, and Renoir, who sought to express emotion and the effects of light and atmosphere in their art. Michael has studied painting with noted artist Andrew Sanders, and also studied art at the college level. Most of his paintings depict the varied landscape near his home in northwestern Pennsylvania, although they have a universal appeal to lovers of impressionist art. Really, really like this tree! I would never copy someone's work but I hope you don't mind that I study your work and try to learn from it.

Thanks for your comment, Judith. I don't mind if you study my work; I'm flattered that you like it that much. One tip: on this piece, I painted the shadow areas in red before going over them in darker, cooler colors. I think this gives the shadows a certain glow.
